Ride a Monster is a free ride a pet game on Jamango. Play in your browser on a laptop, desktop, Chromebook or phone, with nothing to download.

You start on a little Field monster. Ride out from your ranch into the wilds, pick up an egg and get it back home before its timer runs out. Hatch it into a new pet, hop on the faster one, and ride farther out for rarer eggs.

How to play

• Walk up to a monster on your ranch and press E to ride it.
• Ride up to an egg and hold E to pick it up. On a big monster, just ride over it.
• The "Egg Will Break" timer starts. Follow the arrows back to your ranch before the egg cracks.
• Place the egg on your ranch with E, then press E again when it turns gold to hatch it.
• Ride your new pet: faster monsters carry eggs home from farther away.
• Pets on your ranch earn money every second, and they grow over time. Bigger pets earn more and carry you higher.

Every zone of the wilds is farther from home, so its eggs need a faster pet. The label over an egg tells you whether you can make it.

Day, night and egg drops

• Every five minutes the sun goes down for a short night. Eggs on your ranch hatch 30 times faster at night.
• At dawn every egg in the wilds is reset, and the race starts again.
• Egg drops: a rare egg lands somewhere in the wilds every 100 seconds. Everyone sees where. First to grab it gets it.

Controls

• WASD to ride, mouse to look
• E to ride, pick up, place and hatch
• R to hop off or back on your pet
• Space to jump: bigger monsters jump higher
• G to drop the egg you're carrying

Zones

Field, Woodlands, Amber Lands, Rock Lands, Dry Desert, Marshy Lands and the Mystic Lands at the edge of the map, under the snowy mountains. Each zone has its own giant monster, its own monsters to hatch, and its own landmarks: a volcano in the Rock Lands, mesas in the desert, giant mushrooms in the Mystic Lands.

Index

Every pet you hatch goes in your Index. Claim a reward for each new find, and finish a zone for a speed bonus on every pet you ride.
