The Last Stop.
Our most ambitious jam yet and an opportunity to be featured on the Jamango.io homepage for our Open Alpha release. This Game Jam celebrates the incredible journey we've shared. We've come a longgggg way together... From those first creators joining this server in February 2024, to the first ever world published by Domtu -- 'Bank Robbery', to the thriving community we've become today.
Over the past few weeks, we've seen a massive leap forward in the types of creation that is now possible on Jamango!, and we're excited to take the step into 'Open Alpha' off the back of this final 'First Settlers' game jam. 😎
SO with that being said, here are the details:
Entry Requirements:
- Submit an idea in Discord to enter - one entry per person
- Provide at least 3 progress updates to worlds
- Publish at least one world on Jamango.io
Judging Criteria:
85% of overall score
Is your game fun to play? Does it keep players interested, challenged, or entertained?
Would someone want to play your game more than once? Are there new things to discover or different ways to play each time, or does it simply keep you wanting more?
15% of overall score
Devlogs, progress updates, images, videos, playtests and/or social media post updates.
There is no limitation on what concepts you can create for this competition, and we would urge people to review recent updates and to stretch past the previous limitations of what Jamango! was in previous game jams (e.g. ask what can I do with physics and constraints now, props and items, persistent player data, or any of the other new major updates to our engine).

There will be a bonus prize awarded for asset sharing using the asset store. If a winner has utilised assets from another creator (e.g. a script, prop, item, blueprint etc) — there will be bonus awards! Everybody help everybody!
For All Participants
Every First Settler who submits a completed world will receive a limited-edition Jamango! -shirt 🎽
(Previous recipients will receive an exclusive alternate color variant)

As one chapter ends, another begins. But before we open our doors to the world, let's create one final masterpiece together that showcases everything special about being among the first to call Jamango! home.
